風景や自分が所属する場所を背景にインスタレーションを制作する写真家リー・ジョンクンは、シリーズ作品<個人の儀式>の中で、目に見えない信仰をどのように可視化できるかに焦点を当てた作品を制作しています。本展示会ではGENETO ART FOUNDATION企画のレジデンス・プログラムを通して彼自身が日本の文化に溶け込みながら、インスタレーションと写真の制作を試みました。聖域のメタファーとして用いる「水を含んだポリ手袋」から生み出される世界観を是非体験して下さい。

Jeongkeun Lee is the artist who deals photography with installation at landscape or personal place where he belongs. Personal ritual series focus on his imagination about how invisible belief can be visualized by photography and installation.  In this reason, the artist chooses the object, water filled plastic gloves, because of metaphorical employment to lead the story of his idea. In residency program with GENETO Art Foundation, he tries to be sank in Japanese culture and makes some installation and photography works for this show.

Audience are encouraged to experience the show for introduction of the water filled plastic gloves as an icon of protection.

レジデンス企画内容

海外アーティストの創作活動を通し芸術文化の国際交流を目指して作られたアトリエ兼コテージno2では、GENETO ART FOUNDATIONのキュレーションにより招聘された海外アーティストが、一定期間滞在しながら作品制作を行うアーティスト・イン・レジデンスを2020年1月より開催。第１回レジデンスアーティストに韓国人写真家（環境インスタレーションアーティスト）JeongKeun Lee氏を招聘いたしました。
